 presented by: Movin' Shoes - February 20, 2009 The Frosty 5K Run & Walk event will start and finish this year right on the Capitol Square under the glow of the Wisconsin State Capitol dome. The race features a beautiful course, winding down the State Street by the Overture Center of the Arts, through downtown Madison to Kohl Center, and back up to the Capitol Square on West Washington Avenue looking up the Capitol Building. Awards Results will be posted on www.winter-fest.com by noon on race day and awards will be at the finish or can be mailed three weeks later. Individuals are awarded in the 5K RUN as follows:
- Top 3 men and top 3 women finishers overall - Man and woman winner per age category Rules and Regulations The following rules and regulations must be followed by all participants: - Obey race officials; yield to emergency vehicles - Running strollers/wagons allowed in the WALK ONLY - No bicycles, roller blades, pets, or mp3/CD players - No race category changes will be made after November 8 - 5K RUN has delayed start time; 5K WALK is a non-timed event - Participation in an incorrect race portion will result in an unrecorded time - Participants will be issued a $30 replacement fee for lost or missing chip timers Travel and Hotel Click HERE FROSTY KIDS RUN 10:30 AM, February 20, 2010 The Frost Kids Race will start in front of the Capitol Square at the corner of Wisconsin Ave and E. Mifflin St. Kids will run towards E Washington Ave. and turn around to return to the Start/Finish Line. Fees - Free Race Day Registration and BIB pick-up is available from 7:30 - 8:45 am at the Concourse Hotel February 20 - Race Day! Registration: 8:30 am - 9:45 am Shotgun Start: 10:30 am Course Map FROSTY DOG JOG 10:00 AM, February 20, 2010 100 participants maximum The Frosty Dog Jog run and walk event will start and finish in front of the Capitol Square at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and E. Mifflin Street. Participants will run/walk on a 0.8 mile loop (east side of the Capitol Square - Wisconsin Ave to Martin Luther King Jr. Ave) for 25 min. All proceeds from registrations and additional donations to this event will support the Dane County Humane Society. Registration is available online and at Movin’ Shoes (528 S. Park St., Madison). Fees - $25 Race Day Registration and BIB pick-up is available from 8:30 - 9:45 am at the Warming Tent by the Start and Finish February 20 - Race Day!
