 Congratulations to the Wisconsin Badgers Men's XC team for winning the 2011 NCAA Championship in Terre Haute, IN this morning! They finished with an amazing low total of 97 points and took home the 5th national XC title in UW history. The women's team raced as well placing 24th overall. Go Wisco!

With its five top runners crossing the finish line shoulder-to-shoulder in a time of 30 minutes, 28 seconds, Wisconsin laid claim to its 10th-consecutive NCAA Great Lakes Regional team title this past Saturday November 12th in Toledo, Ohio. The win earned UW an automatic NCAA championships berth.
The No. 1-ranked Wisconsin men’s cross country team now prepares to head to Terre Haute, Ind., in search of a seventh national title — and first since 2005 — at the 2011 NCAA Championship.
The Badgers will make their 40th-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships and remain the only team in history to qualify for every national championship since the process began in 1972. (Previously, teams did not have to qualify and just showed up).
The 25th ranked Badger women's team won an at-large bid to their 24th NCAA appearance and their first since 2008.

Wednesday Night Track Workouts at the Shell |

Wednesday track workouts at the Shell at UW Madison will begin this next Wednesday 11/9/2011 at 6:00pm! Unless you are a UW student, anyone wishing to participate will need to purchase a pass to use the Shell. The other option is to come in as someone's guest for $5.00 each time, and you will need to have someone with a pass "sponsor" you as their guest. The direction in which people are allowed to run on the track alternate directions day by day. To sign up, contact Tom Kaufman at
